The book itself is great, its written similar to Becker's. Meaning each section is covered in bit size outlines with plenty of examples to reinforce the concepts covered. It does a very good job in presenting the material in an easy to understand method which I prefer over Becker. HOWEVER, the 2018 version of FAR completely leaves out all the multiple choices and simulations as in previous editions. You won't see any MCQ or SIMS in this book! Not sure why Wiley didn't include this doesn't make any sense - you have to separately purchase MCQs/SIMS on their website which means more money you have to spend. You might be better off using the 2017 versions (not much difference, just keep an eye out for updated changes online) which includes the MCSs/SIMS.

Same as all the other reviewers. NO MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS!Ok, I "found" the MCQs, they were hiding behind a paywall. Changed from last year, and it's a bit of a stretch to call a study guide without MCQs "essential."After using the Test Bank and the book, it's pretty clear they are non-complimentary.

The book doesn't have any multiple choice questions. Its useless without the questions. The material is great but no questions to test the knowledge you learned

I passed all four sections between December 2017 and June 27,2018 using nothing but a Wiley book for each of the four sections. My one caveat is that the new 2018 Wiley books are very expensive because they removed almost all the MCQ questions and answers from previous hardcopy editions, which you definitely need to prep for the test, yet they still charge almost $100 per section book. Now you have to pay another $150 to get access to the practice questions and answers online. For studying be able to answer every single MCQ, and understand why both correct answer choices are correct, and why the wrong answer choices are wrong. I did not study a single SIM type practice question. My KPMG audit manager told me if you know the MCQ's inside and out then you have enough knowledge to answer the test simulation problems. She was correct! My scores were 87 Audit, 91 Reg, 93 BEC, and 94 FAR. IMO there is no need at all for video or live type instructional classes to pass this exam. I'd have rated the Wiley materials a 5 Star if they had included the practice MCQ questions and answers in the 2018 hardcopy materials, because the materials, practice MCQ's and solutions are all that's needed to pass. Still, the Wiley study materials (texts and MCQ's) are excellent, and world's cheaper than getting ripped off with a multi thousand dollar live review course.

I don't know why there are no MC questions. Might as well just buy Gleim.

I made flight arrangements About a month ago to fly ti the Netherlands next year. This booked helped me figure out where to stay and what to do. I am already booking Hotels for next May, because many of the hotels were already booked. I the smaller town the hotels don't have a lot of rooms to begin with.

This travel guide is a great investment, especially if it's your first time travelling! It has a map of Amsterdam attached to the back cover, a list of all the attractions, list of places you HAVE to see, should TRY to see and some that'll be worth your while.It contains points of interest in EACH city in Amsterdam, schedules of the operating times at each attraction, and recommendations of what time you should visit each attraction to avoid long lines.

Another great travel guide frim RS!The guide is accurate and up to date.Once again, RS travel guides has made our trip a little easier.

Some great songs on this album. The Foo Fighters do not disapoint, and always challenge me musically.

This is the sheet music for what is, in my opinion, one of the best albums of the 21st Century. If you don't play guitar or piano, this is not the book for you, but if you do and you like rocking out to the Foos then pick this puppy up! The tab is spot on and it's set up so that you can sing it while still playing if you don't know the words off by heart (i.e., no lyric boxes at the end of the song). My only problem with this book is that there is no bass-tab because I play bass too, but that's okay because its been pretty easy to figure out the bass-lines if you can read music and have a decent ear.Again, though, if you don't play an instrument, don't bother with this book because it will be completely useless to you.

As the title states, this book has everything you'll need to know how to play the music from the album The Colour and the Shape by the Foo Fighters. It has the transcriptions for all instruments - which includes standard notation for drums, bass, and usually two guitar parts and tablature for the guitar parts. The notation/tab looks to be spot on.This is an excellent book if you're serious about learning how to play this music note for note.

I ordered 4 books at the same time and this one came in only a few days. I was excited and suprised that it got here so fast. Thank You

Shame on Oxford Publications- While reading ONLY the 'view inside this book" link, I saw 2-3 typos! I have an editorial eye, I admit, but caliber of writing is so poor, I was shocked. I won't be buying it.

Lots of great info in this atlas but I was very irritated with the maps. Not enough of them and important map details were often hidden in the crease. I should have looked for an earlier edition. Also it didn’t have a gazetteer that other editions seem to have.

Seems short of objective content. This edition is newer. Maybe it's riding on the coattails of its predecessor?

I'm really enjoying this book. It's much more than an Atlas. It has a lot of information. Well done.

This Atlas was disappointing, first because the print is too tiny to read, and when you pinch to zoom in, it all becomes blurred. Secondly, the maps themselves provide little detailed information. On my device the map appears on one side of what is mainly a blank page. There was plenty of room for labels, but none were given. The Roman numeral labels are explained in narratives several pages away, with no links to take you back to the map. For example, the map for the period of Joshua and Judges could have labels, showing where Deborah fought Sisera, where Gideon tested his men by watching how they drank water, and where Samson fought the Philistines. Instead you are only given the general divisions of the 12 tribes, and impossible-to-read city names. I wish there was a map of the Jezreel Valley, and the surrounding hills, labeling Mt. Carmel, Gilboa etc. so the reader can see the significance of that area. There should be a map highlighting the distance from Bozrah to Armageddon, one of the Sea of Galilee making the major points of the Lord's ministry. None of these are offered.

A Bible atlas is essential for any student of Scripture. While there are numerous such books available, the Oxford Bible Atlas is superb for the price. The atlas is full of information and photos of outstanding quality. This atlas is a perfect option for those looking to purchase an excellent resource without having to break the bank.

Just not what I expected - I wanted more information available - I was more interested in maps and less interested in the extended content about a limited numer of places - I found that information informative and enjoyed the reading but am looking for an atlas that better suits my needs.

Contains good information but the problem is that there are many important pages which are just totally blank so there are breaks in the continuity - should be half the price that it is

I needed to “cleanse my palate” after binge reading a fantasy series. I decided to step as far from fantasy as possible, so I ventured into the far more complex realm of…Fact.Astrophysics, to be precise.What’d I learn?I learned the universe is much bigger than I can comprehend, and we puny humans are much less significant to the universe than we imagine.I learned I’m glad there are people who are good at Astrophysics, because I’m notMostly, I learned that Astrophysics is really (Really, REALLY) complicated. Even having Neil deGrasse Tyson spell it out for me couldn’t get topics like quantum mechanics, prolate spheroids, dark matter, or E=MC2 to be more than curiosities beyond my reach.Getting through the book was worth it just to get to the last chapter, where Neil deGrasse Tyson brings the “our universe is so big and we are so insignificant” talk to a climax with some great comparisons. For example…Did you know there are more molecules in a cup of water than there are cups of water on Earth?Of course you didn’t. Because you’re not an Astrophysicist.Instead of feeling small, however, I was left feeling part of something very, very grand.Some call it science. Some call it God. I call it both.Interested in Astrophysics but clueless about Astrophysics? This is the book for you. You’ll still be clueless, but you’ll feel okay being clueless once you get a sense for the overwhelming complexity involved in with the physics of the universe.It’s a big place.Happy Reading.

First off, I love Neil deGrasse Tyson. He's one of my idols and I aspire to be where he is. My issue with this book is that I read it directly after reading his book "Death by Black Hole"...and A LOT of the content from that book is inserted into this one...word for word. It was disappointing to say the least. I pre-ordered this book two months ago and was excited when it came. I actually do really like the size of it, but the content troubles me.I will always read his books but I don't like that there is very little original content in this one. If you already own Death by Black Hole and Origins, save your money. You already have this entire book. \3 stars because it is informative IF you've never read any of his other books.

This book is exactly what its title purports -- lessons on astrophysics for people in a hurry. Each chapter is a bite-sized look at various topics, ranging from the big bang, the discovery of invisible light, the space between the planets, all the way to the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy. While astrophysics is a challenging field of study, Neil deGrasse Tyson delivers his essays in clearly written prose, with relatable examples used to highlight the most difficult concepts. The chapters on dark matter and dark energy are two of my favorites, piquing my interest to search for additional writing on these subjects. One of the best and most thought provoking chapters comes at the end: Reflections on the Cosmic Perspective. If we could all view our lives through the lens of the cosmos, we might come to the same realization the author does. "We do not simply live in this universe. The universe lives within us."

In this book you can tell that Dr. Neil Tyson put his heart and intellect into this book. I've learned more reading this book than I have in all of my science classes throughout the years altogether. I'm so happy that I purchased this book and the narration(narrated by Dr. Tyson)on my Kindle Fire because the narration just adds so much more. This book gives you the facts that are the most interesting, informative, and important, this book doesn't "dumb-down" any of the topics mentioned either. Neil Degrasse Tyson is my role model because I myself want to be an astrophysicist, or aerospace engineer, and reading this book just inspired me even more to go to college and major in one of the two when I get out of High School. I mean who isn't interested in the big questions of the universe? Please buy this book if you're at all interested in the universe and want to support Dr. Tyson too. I have read Origins, Death By Back Hole, and Space Chronicles before this one. I feel like I have read this book before. It reads like an updated Origins. Good material, but a waste of money for me.

I was introduced to Neil DeGrasse Tyson with the video series “Cosmos” on Netflix. (They recently removed the series from Netflix - very disappointing.) I listened to him speak on some radio programs and other interviews and eventually caught wind of this book. I’m fascinated with the subject matter (I imagine everyone would be - it’s about our history, present and future). This book is easy to read, informative, and leaves me feeling more aware without being overwhelmed with information that’s beyond my knowledge base. Plus, I’m so busy that I am notorious for starting books but never really getting through them. I read this weekend morning and a few evenings. Very light and yet rich. Extremely pleased.NOTE: I was NOT paid for this review. These reviews are too often polluted with fake, paid reviews. I want to be clear that my review is NOT paid for. My review is REAL.

I was hoping that this would be a good addition to my library, but I was quite disappointed. I understand that it's meant to be a short overview, but it feels a touch too short and almost unfinished. In comparison to books by Carl Sagan, all of which I've read, this pales in comparison. Neil is not nearly as likeable, his ego shines through in a number of passages. This feels less like a chat with a friendly, intelligent friend and more like a monologue by a college professor that loves himself too much.
